Catcher: Dan WilsonRunner Up: Dave ValleDan Wilson is the cream of the crop in a very weak group of Mariner’s catchers.  Wilson was good offensively but made his money as the favorite signal caller for many of the M’s pitchers. First Base: Tino MartinezRunner Up: John OlerudMartinez wasn’t allowed to fully blosom as a member of the Seattle Mariners but his skill was undeniable.  Before Tino went onto stardom in the NYC he was a key part of turning the franchise around. Second Base: Brett BooneRunner Up: Harold ReynoldsA bit of speculation about Boone’s steroid use tempers this pick but with out hard evidence you can’t deny Boone this slot.  His combination of power and defense made him a big time impact player for the M’s.  Joey Cora needs an honorable mention.Third Base: Adrian BeltreRunner ups: Mike Blowers and Russ DavisThe third base position has always been a problem for the Mariners.  I was tempted to put Chone Figgins in this slot but decided to put the underrated Adrian Beltre in this slot.  Beltre was much better offensive player then publisized and was superb on defense.  Also note the pick is not Edgar Martinez because to me he is a DH.Short Stop: Alex RodriguezRunner up: Omar VisquelEven though a lot of people forget his 6 season as a Mariner Alex Rodriguez put up great numbers in Seattle.  Many forget that Rodriguez was a huge threat to steal bases in Seattle and was a better defensive short stop before he added all of the bulk.Outfield: Kenny Griffey Jr.Outfield: IchiroOutfield:Jay BuhnerRunner ups: Mike Cameron and Franklin GutierrezThis was pretty easy with the three big named icons. Griffey, Ichiro, and Buhner were all not only offensive forces but gold glove winners.  The margin is pretty wide between these three and their competition.DH: Edgar MartinezRunner up: None. Edgar Martinez is a class all his own.  He is the greatest right hand hitter I have ever seen.  His feel for the stike zone and patience at the plate will make a a great example for young hitters for years to come.  Besides how can you go against the guy who the postions award is named after.Starting Pitcher: Randy JohnsonThe big unit isn’t as beloved in Seattle as he should be but is easily the best left hander of his generation.  He was an intimadator and a true ace.Starting Pitcher: Felix HernandezSome might say it is to early to annoint the King I have seen enough of Hernandez to know what he is all about.  His combination of age(23) and skill is unpresidented and the Mariners are lucky to have locked him for the next 5 years.Starting Pitcher: Freddy GarciaEven though he struggle with injuries after leaving the Mariners I will never forget “The Chief” and his years as the ace of the M’s staff Starting Pitcher: Jamie MoyerWhat else can be said about Jamie Moyer that hasn’t already been said.  Moyer has gotten more out his guile and change up then any other pitcher in the history of the game.  I wouldn’t be surprised if pitched until he was 50 years old.Starting Pitcher: Mark LangstonLangston was a bit before my name but the stats speak for themselves.  Add the stats to the fact trading him got you Randy Johnson Langston had to be includedCloser: Kaz SasakiThis was a hard one for me because Seattle hasn’t had much luck with longevity at the position.
